In the years since we founded Ionic back in 2011, Ionic grew into one of the most successful enterprise mobile development platforms and OSS projects in history. I’m grateful to the community and the team for giving me the experience of a lifetime.
One of the things I’m most proud of though is the amazing team and culture we built, despite being almost entirely remote. Ionic’s employee satisfaction ratings soundly beat industry averages year after year, making many of us wonder why the average company couldn’t do the same. Instead, many companies are giving up on remote work and attempting a return-to-office that data shows just isn’t what most employees want.
I want to fix this. I want companies to be able to get all the benefits of working remote/hybrid while keeping productivity and employee happiness high, and building strong cultures that transcend geography.
We’re starting with one of the core problems remote teams face: recognition and employee visibility. It’s so easy to be unseen as a remote employee, and making it easy for your team to publicly recognize and reward your work is critical to ensure you get the credit you deserve and don’t fall behind on your career goals.
Recognition is just the beginning, and we have big plans for where we’re taking @TeamsakeHQ. If our mission resonates with you, we hope you’ll sign up for the early access waitlist. And a huge thank you to everyone that supported us along the way and to the amazing community that made Ionic so damn special.
